The weekend
« on: April 10, 2005, 10:32:06 PM »

Really hate to star a new thread but JCZ says we should

Left Friday afternoon from Charlotte (Matthews) to go to Charleston.
The Lowrider for Nancy was already in Charleston  so we doubled up.
Left at 2:50, arrived at 5:10 at the motel. 204.9 miles in 140 minutes.

And for what it's worth I got 34 mpg cruising at close to the ton.
Coming home today we stayed closer to 80 and I got 37 mpg. I was solo and she was on the Lowrider.

I have made a few alterations to the SEEG and I can't descibe how good it feels at speed.
Took Nancy for a ride on it Thursday night before  our trip on Friday, I rolled on the throttle about a mile before my exit. The mph hand was just starting to get into the odometer display when I had to slow down to make my exit.

I feel like "Tater". This speed stuff is addictive!

All in all this was a good weekend.
Nancy had never been to Charleston and she really enjoyed it.

One word of caution!
Sometimes I feel like I have been everywhere and done everything on a bike.
Had a new experience on Saturday. Rode on streets of coblestones. It was like O'Chit, I have to get off of this. If you ever have the chance to do this,,, TURN and go the other way! This street was wet and and I was worried that  SEEG parts would fill the gaps in the coblestones.

Yeah, 'er 'uh, hd2003,
Alterations?  Did you make it shorter, or longer? [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]  The word is MODIFICATIONS!  Come on, fess up!  You know you have to list all your MODS!  What all did you do to it? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  Gettin' ready for me, are ya'?  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] Spend that money!  That's what it was made for, anyway!! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]  Later--HUBBARD

Now you're putting words in my mouth.  I never said you have to start a new thread.  I only asked a question of what you, the members wanted, after I was asked if we were going to remove all off topic posts.

That's great but it didn't involve me.....I didn't ride it.  Otherwise, I would have started a new thread myself, in the "Ride Report" forum. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

Ok, it's now painfully obvious that JC is responsible for just about everything.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting Holy Chit......... What a Ride!
