Jester Rebuild From the Ground Up
« on: February 18, 2008, 07:38:26 PM »

Today it all began. I went to the freight depot and picked up the big boxes from Sumax.

Oil cooler bracket with Velva Ride required relief.  :)

Close-up of the relief cut.

That's it for frame pics tonight.

Overall, the quality of their work is phenomenal. It is flawless and smooth. Everything was wrapped with ridiculous amounts of foam wrap.

Sumax did an awesome job on this.

One thing I see is that the holes where the passenger peg mounts will not cover all the holes

Thanks Mark. Me too. I guess I'm just gonna have to wait a bit longer. The rear drivetrain is where I plan on starting. It will be a whole lot easier to do that part first. I guess I'll just have to wait until next week to really get going. :(

And this is probably as clean as they'll ever be again.

By the way, does your chrome ty-rap source have red chrome ones? :nixweiss: I don't think any others will do. :)
