hehehehe, already got a PM about "what's in there?"

This had gone on long enough guess I just assumed it was a known quantity.  Never unwilling to talk about my bike though.  This will be everything there even if not done recently.  The recent corrections/additions will be (of course!) in red.  Here goes:


The Buttonfly Resurrection

Stock untouched bottom end
GP bearing support is installed
Primary chain tensioner is in there too
50 mm throttle body and intake
Feuling oil pump, lifters and cam plate
Dave Mackie 598 gear drive cams
Axtell 3 15/16 cylinders for 107" along with Axtell pistons, static CR approx 10.25:1
HTCC CNC ported heads tweaked to mate with with the Axtell jugs and pistons
D&D Fatcat 2-1 exhaust
BiTubos


Guess that's it.  If I missed anything someone will point it out.

Thanks Chip.  The real "battle" was certainly the first time through.  Vendors just stupid slow.  Poor work.  Lies about what they supplied.  Bad combinations.  Just a FUBAR from beginning to end. 

This time the vendors were generally ok.  At least so far as time and machine quality are concerned.  There was that issue with scalping of part of the color work.  But that at least had no impact on the quality of the effective part of the job.  The more recent hassle has just been my own inability to find or make a couple of days to have just done this.  It's worrisome dragging it out. 

Was careful though.  First impression of course don't mean a great deal.  But the first impressions the motor made a little bit ago were good.  It's response to the throttle is very very good.  It sounds really smooth and very sweet.  I'm really looking forward to John getting it on the dyno now so I can actually ride it to see what it'll feel like to the seat of the pants.

That is what I'm really hoping to do tomorrow Howie.  We've got ice all over the place again.  Damndest weather yesterday.  Thunder and lightning and freezing rain.  Just nuts.  It was just barely warm enough that the roads are clean though.  Completely so.  But an inch of ice all over trees and yards and everything else. 

There is a possibility of more over night.  Like 30% chance.  If the roads stay clean I'll get the bike there though.  If they get iffy, well, as bad as I want it done I don't suppose I want it done that bad...

I have to comment that those shocks in your first picture do look like they would be right at home on a SERG.
Either red or blue!

Can't argue that at all Howie.  But the first time through and then again now my personal goal was to get best advantage of what I had without having to break open the bottom end.  I wanted a nice easy reliable build without all that extra work.  Doing the "easy" job twice does kill much of the advantage of taking the "easy" route.  But the goal was never illegitimate.  The problem was in the supplier not the effort or the plan.

Ok, it's been an hour since I shut it off.  Going to go run it again.  This time with the lift up to again look for any leaks drips or errors but from different angles than last time.  So far haven't seen a thing though.

While it's cooling off this time I think I'll change the front pads and put the right side lower back on too.  Be back after bit :bananarock: :cherry: :cherry: :cherry: :cherry: .
