Was that running "pump" gas, or did you "pump" the gas out of the barrel? ;D

Damn

And to think Nancy and I took the scooters to the beach and missed all of this.
So Don, hows the bike running in the rain?

 :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss: :nixweiss:

Road Glide went for its first rain dance this afternoon Chip.  And it ran swimmingly!!   :huepfenlol2:

No lowers.  Feet got soaked.  Rest of me didn't care.  That bike runs sweet.

The red bike, however, is calmly still in wait mode.  A six speed trap drawer was a back ordered item.  Have been all this time patiently waiting on parts to finish it up.  UPS tracking has it at my door on Tuesday.  I leave on Thursday for a bit of travel though.  So not sure if it'll get buttoned up before I leave or not.

Can I mention this.
We rode both 50cc scooters about 3 hours Friday evening. (SBB, Broken Spoke, etc.)
We rode both scooters ALL day Saturday.
Saturday about 7 PM we fill them up.
That's 4 people riding two scooters a day and a half.
It took 1.65 gallons of gas to fill both of them up.
Day and a half riding two scooters, 1.6 gallons used.
How cool is that?

 :2vrolijk_21:

No kidding at all.  That's very cool.  And that's some damn cheap fun.

I came unexpectedly close to dragging one of those things home that day in Kansas City last year.  They were just so cute.  And surprisingly zippy even with my fat ass aboard.  But riding forever for no fuel; sweet :2vrolijk_21: .

I am seeing more and more of these on the road. Especially going to and coming from work...  More bicycles too...

They are both 2 stroke so I run the Polaris racing 2 stroke synthetic oil and the Cam II 110.
Bought premium gas at the pump in Myrtle Beach though.
Both of the Beemer scooters will run 42 to 45 mph.
I have finally gotten a lead on two SR50R Aprilia scooters.
Now those are little hot rods.
They are fuel injected, water cooled horsepower machines.
They are the Mercedes of the scooter world.

Chip, it's been long enough ago I don't remember for sure.  And all these little scooters sort of look alike to me.  Isn't that the model that you were interested in in Kansas City that I looked while up there one trip?  If so it was a hoot to rip around the big parking lot on.

YES SIR!

The ones I have now are a little down on power. (but what do you expect for 49cc hauling my butt)
The Aprilia's though will run much faster.
Enough to get me in big trouble.
I'm still waiting for Brian (Hogasm) to build me a trailer to haul them behind the dresser.

Chip, haven't you realized by now that any thread I ever started can't be jacked?  They're all open source public domain for anything fun.  And that little scooter was a hoot :2vrolijk_21: .

This link is to one for sale in the Houston area currently listed on eBay.  The guy has a lot of pretty good pictures.  In the 10 minutes or so I was on either one of these or something very close to it the little beastie was just a lot of fun to ride.  I expected to be pretty unimpressed and came away nearly buying one.
