Where is the CVO sidecar rig?
« on: April 16, 2005, 10:39:35 AM »

With as  many riders out there that have been attracted to motorcycling, then through desire and/or necessity, needing a third wheel I think that it is time for the MoCo to offer an option to these folks to enjoy a CVO.  The disappearance of the trike has forced many to look elsewhere for this pleasure.  I think that a logical progression is to offer a CVO option to the sidecar.  Complete with suspensiobn matched components, upholstery, paint and extra specialized chrome.  How do the rest of you feel about this and how do you feel that the factory would best implement this idea?

Great Idea!  Especially for all us old, and getting more decrepid, scooter jockeys.  At one point, if we last long enough, we'll all need the 3rd wheel just to keep riding and what better way to do it than on a classy CVO sidecar!  Are you listening MOCO?   [smiley=6.gif]

It's just a personal choice thing of course; but I've never been impressed with trikes.  Some of them look cool but I'm just not interested in riding one.  Were I in that kind of need or had that particular desire would definitely be more interested in a side hack than a trike.  Maybe watched too much Hogan's Heroes?

Was at the Rally in the Valley meeting this weekend!
In the bike show there was a 04 SEEG B/B trike.
Workmanship looked real good.
Many features, including reverse.
Just glad it was his (hers) and not mine!
04 30K bike + 15 to 20K trike kit = resale value of ? maybe 30, 32?
I'm with TwoLane on this one, no trikes for me. Give me a sidehack and I'm in!

(The below is off topic, sorry JCZ)
On another note
Brian 103T you da man!
Johnathans is great! Great people(even though Alice was off), great location.
Salty Dogs was a happening place!

I'm soooooo excited about meeting all (well not all but a lot) the great people I have talked with and read about on this site.

well its obvious that you can certainly buy a hack from the MOCO......and they certainly have the paint to match our bikes.....after all in the parts catalog you can get tour paks match painted for Road Kings....why now a Hack? has anyone even tried to contact the Custom Paint Department at the MOCO and ask the question? What is the worst thing they can say....no?

Sir_Nuke,

'05 Documentation states the SEEG are not compatible with side cars. Something to do with the lowered stance. I guess you could put it back to standard height find a good painter and be the first on your block to hack it out. [smiley=bigok.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
