Finally: My Seat
« on: April 24, 2005, 11:29:02 AM »

It took almost two months but the wait was worth it. I came up with an idea of modifying my original seat after going back and forth of what to do.

I found a good leather guy that is local for me and took in a scanned image of the Sreamin Eagle that I modified and resized in Photoshop. He took the image and came up with a design that puts the Eagle inside a circle then caries up to the front with a double stitch that mimics the dash leather insert. I wanted to build a seat from scratch but he said the material that came on the bike was top quality and more durable than the leather he had, he said the stitching was very good needing just a little straightening. The seat still seems very firm but after putting 60 miles on it yesterday I am very happy. When he tore it apart he put a 3/8

VERY NICE!  All CVO bikes should come with a seat like yours.  Maybe you should send photos to Willie G.  That way next years CVOs will have this most awesome seat design!  TOTALLY COOL!   [smiley=thumbsup.gif] [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=laugh.gif]

Speaking of seats and maybe this should be a new topic. Anyone else having problems with the little piece of rubber that seperates the chrome fender cover from the solo seat? Mine is seperating from its spot and the glue is making a mess of my chrome right there one my seat chrome. I keep sticking it back but it keeps unsticking, its not lack of adhesive cuz that chits all over my chrome! Maybe I am going too fast and blowing it out of place? The heat we have been experiencing here in NC melting it??
