Excess oil leakage out vent tube after long runs

(1/2) > >>

roadrunner:
I just got my bike 04 SEEG,  back from the dealer (repaired after my accident, frame replacement) and have noticed after a day long riding in 65 deg weather, oil leakage out the oil vent tube (never had this happen before the accident).  Just enought to run across a newpaper.  When hot, the oil level it right at the top line of the dipstick, when cold oil level is in the middle of the dipstick.  THe oil cooler feels warm and oil temp is about 208 deg.  I ran the bike last fall down to Key West and never had any oil leakage. I might just be paranoid.

HUBBARD:
Yeah, 'er 'uh, roadrunner,
 Too much oil, man!  Later--HUBBARD

shovelhead71:
how are you checking your oil level - leaning or straight ^

spydglide:
Hey, Hub.........you mean he's got too much oil in the bag, or he's using to much oil?   [smiley=confused5.gif]......spyder

roadrunner:
Leaning, the bike on the jiffy stand.  I have over filled the bike a little before, and never any leakage.
