Advanced Carbon Fiber Has the lightest smallest DOT Half Helmets around.  They have a Extended Style which is regular half and they have a Polo style.  They are both made out of carbon fiber and kevlar and they come in a bunch of different colors.

during other then daylight hours - yes...

I have a pretty decent one from Icon racing that had just become habit.

I mostly wear a 3/4 helmet, mainly for the quietness and face protection.  Have the speakers in the helmet and microphone to talk with the BSR.  Even with the faceguard and tall windshield, I've been pinged a few times on the faceguard with gravel and large bugs.  Without it, now that woulda left a mark.  Occasionally use a 1/2 helmet around town, and on shorter rides with no BSR, and when I'd rather listen to the 4 speakers.  Heat was never a problem with the 3/4 IMO.

Have a modular full face for cold winter days, but have to open the visor a bit to prevent fogging.  The anit-fog stuff does not work. >:(  It's the 1/2 helmet with eye protection the rest of the time.

I think to most best helmets are the half Schuberth helmets from good old Germany.
They have a visor & protection like a full face, but look like a half!
