Storms rumbling through woke me up about 30 minutes ago.  Now the storm warning sirens are going off again.  Last thing needed in this area is more damage.  Here it's just rain you can't see through at the moment and only moderate winds along with it.  Lots of thunder and lightning.  Keep your fingers crossed the rest of the area is as fortunate.

Thanks Ed.  It's not bad right here though.  Just loud and annoying.  None of the response teams have gotten called out yet so, hopefully, it'll stay that way.  I'm just getting a little tired of spring this year; that's all.

That's the plan.  When I went to bed last night the intent was to be on the way to Ken and Cheri's and the BBQ by now.  Instead it is still pouring rain with lots of lightning bouncing around.  Not bad for a 20% chance of scattered storms.  Just waiting it out.

I was in the Joplin area (on my way to AZ) on the 10th during the prior round of tornados.  I hate tornados.  I was working, didn't have the bike.

Had the storms wake me up here in Siloam Springs, Arkansas this morning as well.  We had a young high school girl killed about 3 weeks ago with tornadoes in the area, so we're a little jumpy.

Stay safe.

This chit is just too weird! Last weekend it was to hot here to do any riding(107+), then this weekend it's too windy and cold. So. Cal. even had a couple tornado's during the week, blew over trains and rigs! Snow in the mountains that we rode to last Sat. to escape the heat. Please all, stay safe! We really feel for the mid-west. Dave

Just got in from a 4 day weekend in northern Wisconsin at the cabin...  Two tornado touchdowns 8 miles from our location last night.  While the storm was in Minnesota on its way to us, massive damage occured, including at least one death (of a 2 year old).  Our cabin is one of the few with a basement, so a few neighbors gathered at our place to wait it out.  The worst we saws was a downpour (about 2 1/2 inches in an hour).  So for us, it turned out to be no big deal, but for others nearby, it was much worse.  The ride up and the ride back - about 300 miles each way - was nice weather and uneventful.
