If you have hard bags.  I would assume you would be able to open the leather bags, just not fully opened.

I will be picking 08 SERK at dealer a hour away from my home, was going to get
a renter car to get to dealer. Point is i also ordered tour pack,mounting hardware.
Should i have them install ($150. to 200. they say) or is it feasible to strap to bike
and mount when i get home. I guess i could ship from their too. Seems like a lot of
money for them to install.
