Jeff,
I hear you. I'm finally going to do the same set-up as he describes in a couple weeks. Can't wait.

good luck with the setup John,  you have left the oil leak alone for now?

I was thinking of you last weekend....rode with a group to Rock Hall last Sunday for crabs at Watermans Crab House...very good

I would have called, but I was not planning on going (fathers day) but last min changed my mind and went

great ride down 896 and down 213

I can't wait. My brother's shop is doing it the last weekend in June. He's having a street party at his dealership in Bay City, MI and we're going out for it.

As to the oil leak, it's slow and I've got 9300 miles. I figure they deal with it when it goes in for the 10,000 mile service.

Is a leak a major problem, or am I reading the wrong thread?  (Isn't this thread one for NO major problems?) ???

A leak is a major problem, but I'll let the experts answer why

When I first replied, I had no problems. The leak only recently started. I've been holding off getting it fixed because of the chatter about an eminent fix. I will be making an appointment on Friday for the 10,000 mile service and to get the leak fixed.

LabRat,

Same with me! Except I am not waiting-they can do it twice-

I had it in MI this past weekend to get Bub7's, a new SERT and a SEAC on at my brother's shop and the head wrench admitted that the 110"s have a tendency to leak mostly from the head gasket. Mine looks like it is coming from the base gasket. I dropped it off at my local shop this morning for the 10k and to fix the leak. The wrench there talked about the service bulletin. They hadn't torn it apart yet, so time will tell.

BTW, love those Bub7's.

Well, looks like my oil was coming from the breather bolt and not a gasket leak. I'll keep in clean and keep an eye on it to make sure. So I guess I can go back to "no major problems".
