While good news for you FLHTCUSE3 , it is a sorry state of affairs that we are even discussing it

Brian, you are so right....with these costing as much as they do having a conversation about the inevitable blown gasket is crazy......

I am paralyzed with a inability to modify the engine for fear that it will act up and be voided of warranty......I have never owned anything like it before.

Mine is running awefully good right now......hope that was not the jinx

Indeed.  Change my vote to over 5k with no problems, but it is a sorry state of affairs.

I purchased it August 11, 07 and the only problem that I have encountered is a blow out at 90 mph on the freeway.  As of today I have 9,343 trouble free mile and the gas milage is getting better every tank. :2vrolijk_21:

I have 11k on my SE Ultra and nothing more then the fuel filter snafu, which was fixed in 30 minutes.  I would like to get better fuel mileage, my 06 Ultra gets 45, I have yet to break 40, any suggestoins.

Maybe the question needs to be how many problems have occured to 2007 units vs 2008?

I do not know the answer, but from a distance it is either true that the 2008 are doing better or just have lower mileage on them........just a thought

has anyone compiled any statistical data?

it has to be a random sample, so you gather all of the information on all of the bikes 2007 vs 2008 and randomly pick a sample from both hoping that we could get a sample to represent the population.

It is based on the fact that the membership is not skewed already.

I made it to 16K, now I have the head gasket problem, dealer fixing it as I type. My 08 SERK had the old head gaskets with the tab so it will be interesting to see how the new improved head gasket fairs. I'm looking to put another 15K on this July/August.

I would be helpful to know how many 110s have had problems to compare %

I have 12k on my 08 110 EG. I took delivery the 6th of May 08. I just put on VH monster ovals with the fuel pack and VH vo2 air cleaner. The bike runs great with great mileage 47mpg average. Have had no major problems as of yet, knock on wood, but am very happy with the bike.

Wow SRXDude, you've been rolling that baby down the road....... A LOT.  8) 8) 8)

I often wonder about mileage when a Canadian lists their mileage.  Is this an Imperial gallon, or US gallon?  Heck, I've not been to Canada in so long I can't remember.  I used to live in Michigan and I'd get across the water a couple times a year, but not since '02.

I'm glad you're trouble free and enjoying the nice ride.

Good luck and have fun....

There needs to be a "Remove Vote" link as some of the other polls have.  As time goes on some of the people with no problems may develop them, and most of us will have more miles on the bike.

I personally don't know how to remove votes, or how to even set up a survey...

The person who set up the poll can either allow that or not allow it.  But the whole thread has a premise of "tell me good stuff about what bad hasn't happened, yet?".  Political pollsters get paid good money for framing questions like that.
