The "other" detachable point
« on: June 03, 2008, 10:04:27 PM »

If everyone else's first generation SERG is like mine it has only three of the four detachable points.  I found this out a few days ago when I went to set a luggage rack on that uses the rear pair of points.

Harley's detachable "kits" always confuse the hell out of me.  And any of them would have had a bunch of extra pieces.  If you want to complete the full complement of all four detachable points so that anything can be set on you'll only need two each of the following three part numbers:

4158 socket head bolt 2.22 each (it's chrome)
53685-96 XL docking point 11.17 each (nutso expensive for what you're buying)
53760-97 docking point spacer 3.85 each

So for about 35 bucks any detachable piece you might find or want could now go on the bike.
