I Phone with Zumo 550

Can't seem to get the I phone  and bluetooth to work properly with the Zumo. Anyone one else having that issue? It connects then disconnects....Thanks Greg

Have you run webupdater recently to make sure you have the latest firmware? I know recently there was a Bluetooth update that was supposed to fix a problem like this.

Not at home now to be able to check w/webupdater, but I think I remember you have to have "Bluetooth Enabled" when you run the updater for it to find the bluetooth update. I doubt it will fix/help a phone that is internally damaged though. :oops: :) Also not for sure this will help your phone or not some phones I'm thinking probably just aren't compatable. :nixweiss:

Your iPhone may not be damaged. However, the iPhone in general has very limited Bluetooth capabilities, mainly to connect to its own separately sold earpiece. Did you check with Garmin, if it is a supported device for the Zumo?

It's supported.  I'm using a first-day iPhone and it works fine with my 550.  I am using Bluetooth SW Version 2.40.

Howie....some of us have a job that allows us to ride during the week, as long as we are connected with the outside world.

It sure has made my world a better place.......I love to make money while on the bike :2vrolijk_21:

Howie, with you 100%! Dont need any chatter when riding. Look forward to ME time on the bike. Plus been almost run off the road way too many times by cagers on cells to give them any more help in trying to hurt me.

I hear that...!  Riding the bike and riding the tractor cutting grass and the only two activities that allows for some solitude and quiet...  One of the things I like about motorcycling is the ability to be with a group of friends...but also allows for some peace and quiet from the world...    :2vrolijk_21:
