I just used a suitrable one from the local accessory store as it happens - cost a load less than that! ;-)   Wired it (separately fused) into the rear light circuit, since that's already present in the TourPak.

I guess you're not using the Custom Dynamics TP light? If you were, you'd need the "Y" splitter.

No, just connecting to the plug that's there for the rear light bar on non-leather tourpaks.

My cell phone works great - sometimes I need to turn the volume all the way up.
I have a flip up full face and can talk with the face mask up, while riding - and folks barley notice.

I did have 1 issue - took about 2 months for me to figure out - device kept shutting off on me - and I needed to pull the plug under the fairing to re-initiate. Turns out I was using to high end of a phone that overloaded the system (perhaps to many address books....) - so, I now have a lower end phone with about 2 dozen phone numbers - and use call forwarding from my primary phone (work) to the bikes phone. hope this helps

jskulsky, welcome to the site. Great first post.

Bubba, here's the deal...  UPS delivered the box today. I have a unit in my hands but... the box has been opened, the manual is for XM radio & not BT. I can't tell if it has been used or was just opened for display or what. I'm heading down to pull the fairing and plug it in to see if it works. I'll report back later tonight. You may want to stay up for the results!

Hey AJ......be careful!  :o spyder

Man! Was that thought going through my mind as I turned the key!  ???  :o  :-\ ;D

So now here's the story. I originally purchased the second unit from Glendale HD in CA. That was two weeks ago while at Chief's house. Thanks to Sportgordy & Buvy I was able to track that one down. I called the parts dept.and told them I was surprised that they had one as it was probably the last on left in the country. They said no problem. I gave them my credit card # for full list price $499 + $14 shipping. All was well in the world. I didn't see the unit for a few days so I checked my statement and there was the charge but, there was also a credit for $513 as well. I called Richard in parts back and asked what was wrong. He proceeds to tell me that they have been cheated out of monies charged to CC's before and did not want to handle the transaction that way. (how that could happen after my card was charged I don't know) I said OK, how do you want to get paid? Paypal. No problem, what's your email to send the payment? www.glendalehd.com. Noooo, that's your website. Where do you want the funds to go? They'll call me back. When I finally hear back they tell me that now they are going to charge me CA sales tax plus shipping plus a 3% fee for using Paypal. The guy even had the balls to remind me that I told him it was the last one left in the country and I really had no choice. That's when I felt like using one of Howie's sayings. I bit my tongue and called around and found the one I bought from Kosco HD in NJ. Again I paid full list price plus tax and shipping but it's here and working. All is right in my world (for the second).

I just laid the new one on top the old one to test them out. It worked! I will be installing it in the TP this time.

Just in case no one has ever seen it, this is what the radio looks like when the BT is installed properly. (It has a CD in the radio at the moment as well)

You do know that each and every mode on the radio has a seperate volume setting? The CB has it's own, the XM has it's own, the blue tooth has it's own seperate volume setting. If you set the CB at a volume level it will not be the same on your blue tooth

I guess this means you have gotten one.

I can't state enough how much I like this accessory. This has been one of the most useful items I have on my motorcycle.
