Saw the tech bulletin this afternoon at the dealer, was talking to the shop guys and asked them about it.  They just finished a bike that had bad head gaskets & cylinders using the new parts (test case?) and said it was the quietest 110 they ever rode.

Magoo what dealer? Hallelujah! I want so to believe this.

Ride Safe! :coolblue:

So, assuming this information is correct this time (I'll believe it when I see a copy of the bulletin with Willy G.'s thumb print on it), why would it be limited to the '07 models when we all know that the '08's have the same issue?  Are they saying that the 08's already have the new and improved parts?  If that's the case, I wouldn't get my hopes up about a permanent fix.  Of course, all those folks who've reported problems on their '08's might be mistaken; you know, you really can't believe all that crap you read on the internet. :o

Didn't pay that much attention when I found out it wasn't covering my bike.  Check with your local shop they all should have the tech bulletin, maybe somebody could get a copy and post it.

That was the whole plan iski. Get parts to the dealers before the letter goes out. I was told the letter would go out after July 1, most probably after the holiday weekend. If it's going to happen as foretold, we should see something really soon.

:indian_chief:

Agreed, Chief.  Figure they knew they had enough problems so getting parts made would make sense.  Most of the bits & pieces I have heard so far seem to fit this, too. Interesting the news was broke on this by Dogols  :2vrolijk_21:

from Germany.  Halfway around the world from Milwaukee, and Dogols gets the word first - good work!  :2vrolijk_21:

I'm going to the dealership this afternoon and will ask if they know anything. Does anyone else have access to the Tech Bulletin?

More from HD: The "kits" will be arriving in the mail soon , to be kept with your onboard tools, to address a problem that does not exist, which won't fix it anyway!

Does this only cover the 110's for model year 2007 ?

And what about the crank shaft issues ?
