Special Olympics run, sponsored by Essex County Law Enforcement and Bergen County HD.
The run was approximately 65 miles through the hills of Bergen county and police escorted. About 100 cop bikes and maybe 200 riders for the run.

There is something to be said for a cop sponsored run. From the time we left the dealership, every intersection, on ramp, shopping center exit or any other “hazard” was blocked by the PD bikes. Even Interstate 80 was shutdown as the bikes entered the highway. Rode for about an hour and half and didn’t put my feet down till we got back to the dealer for an “Outback Steakhouse” sponsored BBQ.
And, it was hot and sunny.
