Just purchased a Garmin Zumo 550 at Best Buy here in Oklahoma City.  Paid $449.99.  Came with motorcycle & car mount.

From what I can tell looking around on the internet, this is apparently a pretty good deal.  If anyone is looking, you might want to head to Best Buy.

Maybe they know something we don't. Maybe we're finally going to get a new Zumo, you know, the one with the NEXRAD radar. The motorcycling units have gotten pretty stale as they haven't brought out a new model in seveal years. It seems like all of their efforts are going into the pocket stuff and not auto routing, custom mapping units like we want.

Yep, I looked at the Best Buy website and saw the $899 price also.  I'm not sure if this is a local deal or not   was not an open box.....brand new never opened.  A friend and I both bought one.

I also wondered if Garmin is about to come out with the BBD (Bigger Better Deal)  Anyway, I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up.

Do they have a Best Buy in Wilmington? I think it's going to be a hit and miss deal (whether the store carries them and has them in stock).

Just called the local store.  They had some a month ago.  Guy on the phone said no stock now and not something they would be restocking.  He did say their last one had been marked down but he didn't remember how much.

No, the pool boy is starting to push the new gray market version of the Aqua Zumo.  GPS to help you find one end of the pool from the other when you are drunk off your ass!
