HD brochure says "new" push button fuel door with CVO logo, looks etched but small picture, guess will need to see in person.  Looks kinda neat though!  Would be nice if HD would make some of the newer parts available for those of us with previous year bikes.

Like the CVO logo fuel door?  Probably protected part though, so can't order for previous years.

Fuel doors on the dashes over the six gallon tanks are larger.  So prior year bikes to the larger tank couldn't use it anyway.  I'd noticed that gas door also.  But with an 05 or 00 am unable to use it.

Was told yesterday that basically nothing improved/changed on these 09's FL's will retrofit.

Frame change is substantial & while I have not seen one in person, also heard there is a fairly large space above the tranny area in the rear.  Nothing there but large enough for a typical softail oil bag or.......

even some type of tank.  Frame change looks like HD is getting ready for some more serious changes in the next year or so & liquids sure appear to be involved.  If they place a tank there, lots of alternatives for less noticeable cooling fins instead of the more expected front of the bike.  Makes ya wonder....

FYI - FLHTCUSE4 in High Octane/Autumn Haze Available at Hal's Harley - New Berlin (Milwaukee Area), WI at MSRP as 8/11/08.
This is really a very nice color - better than I thought it would be.  The Orange sparkles in the sun a lot like the yellow SEEG2 (Nanner) of a few years ago. Fat rear tire and new wheels are really cool.  Only thing that was weird was seat insert which is gray/silver - someone else mentioned that it doesn't match the orange or red FLHTCUSE4 at all.

The antenna's are shorter.  I saw a regular 09 Ultra and they antenna's are about 24" - 30" long.  The new antenna's look a lot like the J&M antenna's that several of us have, only longer.

Wonder how the drive belt will handle the exhaust heat. Setting 3 hours in traffic in Chicago should cook it well done!

Brad

I looked at the distance between the belt and the exhaust is very minimal.......should make it interesting for sure.

Like the Ruby Red best by far - from these pics.

Interesting - heat shields - makes sense considering.

Appears the tour pack may moved back - still cannot tell from these pics.

Suspended seat also a good idea from the comfort standpoint.

I can't seem to figure out what a suspended seat is?

Maybe this has been talked about and I just missed it........I was in Vegas last week and went to the LV HD dealer and they had a few 09 Ultra's(non cvo) and a Streetglide.  I was told that on these models only there is a new system whereby you turn the throttle forward....beyond the normal idle position.....when stopped and the rear cylinder shuts down, ie while stopped at a light, etc.  Then as you accelerate the rear cylinder kicks in again. Does the 09 SEUC have this?  Again I was told it's only offered on the Ultra and Streetglide for 09.
It sounds like something else to go wrong on the bikes to me.

Willie....what does that have to do with answering my question about the suspended seat? :nixweiss:

HA HA HA.... just kidding. It has been discussed but not enough. It is the same as the o7's had only you couldn't turn it on and off so easy. You either had to have a SERT and go into the program to switch it on and off or have the dealer turn it off (I think it came factory with it on). Then it would shut it down only if it got hot enough and then kick back on once you got moving AND it got "cool" enough. I think thats how it went.
