Does it help the value of the 2008 CVO RK that they are not being
sold in 2009?

Really hard to say. The new touring line up has a new improved frame. If the frame is a huge improvement then people will go after the 09 bikes. Although I think RG in Anniversary colors is a stunning beauty!

Bet they couldn't find any gold paint!!  And since they couldn't find the BEST color, they figured they would wait.

I have changed my mind back to "maybe not".

Of course if they had a GOLD SERK (the bike I shoulda bought a while back dammit!) the value would be IMMENSE!!

After seeing the 2009 CVO lineup, I know I value my FLHRSE4 more.

Just put BUB 7's true duals, "Heavy Breather" and Fuelpak on. Mucho better.

I am sending a set of hard bags off to Paint by Gene this week and hopefully will get them back in a couple of months and then I am done spending money on it, I hope.

Not real happy about the recall.

Do you have any pictures or sketches of how he intends to paint them?  This is certainly my next step cosmetically on the bike.  I had a design in mind, but was waiting to see what someone like "Paint by Gene" came up with as well.

Gene hasn't done any yet (SERK '08) but he has a set ahead of me so when they get back from Sturgis he'll probably be working up a sketch.

Not as much as having a 110 engine in it hurts the value.

hurts the value because of the head gasket leaks??  I guess once it's not factory, the value goes way down.

The SERKS may be discontinued for 09 and like Iski said the value may or may not hold but at least there won't be a SERK on every corner like you see with the Ultra's now so you can take solice in that.    :orange:
