Great stuff all Nige. If I had to pick I think I'd pick Glacier, or maybe Yellowstone, nah probably Glacier.

Not so many folk in Glacier Jim and a little more extreme in it's terrain. Main difference is of course the absence of geothermal activity in GNP. I loved them both, but for different reasons.

Nige, how much did it cost you to have the bike shipped to the US I'm planning on doing such a trip too.

 Thanks

Cost me about £2,635.00 return. i flew into Calgary in Canada and then back from Toronto. it's not so easy to fly a motorcycle into mainland USA these days, which is a direct result of 9/11. When I booked the Dollar was weak weak and I was getting over $2.00 to the £1.00. The same trip now would cost £3,500.00 or at todays exchange rates arpund 4,100 Euros. There will also be some airport customs clearance fees and handling charges amounting to around £125.00 - 150 Euros plus your insurance charges. I was there for nearly forty days and the insurance was $1,100.00.

Having said all that i would still reccomend taking your own bike if you can as our American CVO chums just love to see a foreign plate on their turf.

Go for it if you can.
