Is the "other one" the bike that is listed down in Tahlequah, OK?  If so be very careful there.  It's been listed three times and the types of lack of communication that come from the seller have made me think the listing might be suspect.

You nailed the location.  I wasn't aware of the multiple list times but the lack of communication I can verify.  I also want to say thanks for the heads up as it made me take a closer look at the seller.  He has 3 transactions listed with the only feedback being a negative comment back in July with the claim being that he kept another person's $500 deposit.  The person who made the claim has 132 transactions with all comments being positive.

My initial thoughts were that if I could pick it up cheap enough (say around $11K) it would be worth the risk.  The more I see and think about it...probably not.

AJ, the prospective buyer was just north of me in Kansas City if I remember correctly.  So I'm sure he's going to take advantage of my special ride-it-home-for-you-after-you-fly-me-out-there service.  I'm sure I could have it back here after just a couple of weeks on the road 8) .

Just glad the suspect nature of the listing was caught before any money was spent.  It is all too likely a scam.  Good luck on finding a bike you like.

For the love of God, just buy Carlos' bike! :o ;D  The $4,000 or so more you pay for it will surely be money well spent avoiding the heartache or heartbreak getting some other POS.  $84 and a great ride home . . . it would be the memory of a lifetime. :2vrolijk_21:

This bike isn't going to last long. The extras that are included in this sale are worth the asking price. I know Don would be willing to buy that cover for $200.

I can't say all that!!!  I've found one with just a few more miles (12,xxx) within an easy drive (300 miles) of where I live.  Of concern is that the owner hasn't responded to some very basic questions that I have/had about the bike.  Such as some details on how it has been cared for and what other accessories he may also have with the bike.  The bike is currently listed on ebay (see link) and the high bid is $10,220.

I think there are some fleas on that dog>>> Look at the feedback on his other transaction...I asked him to come look at it personally, no response....Be careful>>> ..Greg

I'm sure you're right that this bike probably won't last long.  In fact, I'm rather surprised that it has lasted the past 3 days although my speculation is that the economy may have something to do with that.

And with that being said the analytical side tells me that $16K is a lot to spend for anything and especially a used motorcycle.  I bought my first motorcycle in 1970 at the ripe age of 14.  Since then I’ve bought a few more.  I remember the first time I paid over $5K for a bike as well as the first time I broke the $10K barrier.  I came close to the $15K threshold with a ’01 GL1800 that I bought in early 2001.   :D

On the other side of the coin, if a person is going to drop the coin why not spend the $31K and pick up a Yellow Pearl/Charcoal Slate '09.   :o  I continue to hear that I'll regret the things I don't do more than the things I do.

dslater35, that was exactly my rationale.  I was very tempted with Carlos' beauty (and still am)as I have wanted a SERG. But for the price I have decided to consider an 09 depending on seeing colors in person.  I cannot judge if $15500 is a good price for Carlos' bike or not.....depends on how bad someone wants it I suppose.

Plenty of bikes you can buy for under 15 grand. And you can get a new Big Twin for under 20. But you can't compare them to this CVO. You need to know what it is, and want a Triple Red SERG. Then a bike in that condition with all the accy's is well worth the price. But don't compare it regular XYZ bikes! ;)

Someone buy this before I figure out how to like a Fairing!!! ::) ;D :huepfenjump3:
