thanks for flipping vertical shots, prior to posting they were not vertical, maybe my camera auto rotates. if any other shots needed let me know. i'm trying to get shot from underneath..to show space. its tight fit..but no rubbing at all of belt on tire, or tire on fender. i would say she handles better with the larger tire..Dave

Dave,

Can you take one of the rear wheel sprocket side showing the whole bike....so we can get a "Depth" perception of how your rear sprocket actually looks in conjunction with the bike...

I will delete this post after you do so.

Thanks

Regards,

Tim

Dunlop 401  150/80B-16  <~~~What is currently on Dave's [HDFXR3] FXR3 right now as he has shown above, even though he typed in "30" above he meant "80", ie: typo error

Overall Tire Height:
25.45"    646.430mm

Overall Tire Width:
6.15"     156.210mm

Which means technically this tire is over 150mm wide.....that's why you have to look at the specs of each tire to see what the manufactuerer is really doing.

Regards,

Tim

So Dave,

I am sure someone will ask but what's the type of finish on your rear wheel sprocket, it looks like it is a corse type of "silver" powdercoating?

Tim

You need a mircometer to measure really well....also it would be interesting how wide your belt is as well.
You take fantastic photos.....and your bike is gorgeous.....so now we all need to know how much room you gained going to a different belt width and rear sprocket? ? ? ? ?

HeHe! Kept looking like you were done. It appears you are now. ;D

Thanks for all them great shots, closeups and info Dave, and for flipping them Tim!!! I like how it fills up the inside of the fender. Looks great back there! :2vrolijk_21:

You bought yours that way, bonus! I'm not sure it's worth all the effort to replace the belt and sprocket, respace the rear wheel (maybe?), and all the work and $$$ involved in doing that, when you can just put a 140 on. You have it and I love it, but I'm not going thru that effort myself. Thanks very much Dave for posting all the pics. Makes things very clear! ;)

But man, that indicator light console's got to go on mine! :nixweiss:

And I think someone needs some chrome acorn nuts on them reversed strut bolts! ::) ;D ;)

Since this is the way she was when purchased, i did not realize how much modification was done, and it still looks stock. even though cvo's come loaded w/ goodies..we can sure modify them to suit us! Thank God we are all different and have ideas on how we want these to look and perform! Please excuse my dirty bike shots, not had time to wash her and detail, more fun to ride! This site allows us to share experiences..and very educational.  dave

That's what I was thinkin' as I looked at the photos! ;D  Would really make the whole deal look factory that way.  Great shots, Dave!  Just from the photos you can really tell it's a lot wider than my stock 130. :o  I love it! :2vrolijk_21:
