Can't decide, HELP!.

Hi,

I'm a 2008 Fat Boy owner located in Finland, Europe.
I've read your posts and watched the pics of the new SERGs you guys have and pretty much falling in love with this bike.
The Orange-Black version is just my thing, of course the other color combinations are beautiful also.
Road Glides are very rare in general over here since we don't get the bike normally in Europe as you all know.

I contacted a local HD dealer recently just to ask what is the situation with the SERG since they had it in the price list.
He called back that they're going to get one SERG, orange-black, if you want it just let us know and it's yours.
Now, I don't know what to do.
SERG is a lot more expensive bike than my current one but it's going to cost me a lot also to make the Fat Boy the way I want it to be (lots of chrome, paint set, touring stuff etc.).
I like to cruise the streets but also hit the road for longer trips and I think the SERG would serve me better in this use than the Fat Boy?
Also thinking that when my son grows a couple of years older we're going to take longer trips together, maybe the SERG is a better option for that too?
Oh man, what should I do?

I'd certainly never consider the Fatboy to be a Continental cruiser.  If that's part of your intended use for a bike they're called "touring" models for a reason.  Sounds like you've laid your own foundation for a decision.

You need some help in deciding to buy that thing? Okay: Go and buy it! You will not regret, that's for sure. And once you have it, do not forget to send us some pictures of the only SERG in Helsinki!

Once you get a bike with a fairing, bags and radio, you will never want anything else.  Unless it's a second bike.

Hey thanks for the replies people!  :)

Actually I'm negotiating at the moment with 2 local dealers and 1 from a nearby city for the best deal.
One of them told me we have only like 2 Road Glides in general in the country, one of them owned by a member of Hell's Angels Finland (I've seen that, it's a grey RG with HA logos) and the other one is somewhere else in the country.
I always thought we have more of these bikes here since Harley-Davidson Club Finland has about 4000 members but no.  ???
So if I get a SERG it will be "quite rare" over here, doesn't hurt me.  8)

I have to give it some thought, it's a heavy load of money (bike is 44.000€ = ~64.000$) for me because I'm just a common working dude, not a millionaire.  ;)
But I guess we only live once, or do we?

Ahh, this is a tough one for me......

That's nuts.  More than double what it costs in the states.  Some of it is the weaker dollar of course.  But that's still an indefensible overseas mark-up.

Yeah but it's the taxes for motorcycles that are completely crazy over here.
