Fairing / Handlebars
« on: August 27, 2008, 09:31:08 AM »

Anyone who has added a fairing change out their bars? Rode for about 8 hours Sunday and Monday/Tuesday was really sore in the elbows. I know the fairing doesn't connect to the bars, but just wondering.

i had changed bars before adding the fairing ( 10" mini apes ) after adding the fairing i had to adjust the bars because they were hitting the fairing.... so when you look for bars consider that

Would that ride have made you sore before the addition of the fairing?  Was it a reach issue or wind/control issue?

Jester,

I don't think the fairing has an impact. Wind does not seem to be an issue at all. I think I'm just getting older. I feel like my arms are "stretched" out to the limit.

Gotcha.  :2vrolijk_21:

Sounds like you need to switch the bars (like I'm really letting you in on a big secret!)  :pineapple:

Thinking of adding the fairing on my 08 SERK. What 10" apes did you use. I had some Burley's on my Hertitage which were very comfortable or did you use HD. Also interested in whose fairing you put on.
