New : Extension of warranty in France
« on: February 09, 2009, 04:43:28 AM »

The two years of HD warranty concerning my last CUSE2 '07 model, are ended at the end of February '09.
Today, I've received a letter from my dealer.
He offers me a free inspection on 99 points of control.
He propose an extension of warranty of two years for approximately 500 euros.
This warranty concern not the wear of brakes pads, oil, filters, tires.

It's probably a good proposal for the validation recalls or other bugs.

Hello Jacques,

do you know if this a factory warranty extension or if it is done through a third party (like an insurance)?

Ride safely,
Louis

It's a third party through a contract with HD France.

i think i have read somewhere that our UK friends have an extended warrenty option.

i was told verbally last year that in switzerland, that MOCO will make good any defects that surface during the third year of ownership.

I have had no problems in the past with warranty-type issues comp'd after the second year, but with my '07 SERK I'd be inclined to buy into a two year extension at around 500 Euro. I'll investigate if anything is offered in Germany.

Why ?

extended warrenty is probably void if a sert or other engine mods have been installed, as members have found in america,  check this out b4 parting with ur 500€
