that is what mine looks like and about half the price of my dealer.

Is this a soft leather version? I have seen some where the leather was fairly stiff and uncomfortable.

Thanks for the info guys. We took a trip around Lake Superior last July and fought cold and wet. (38 F and 175 miles of rain in one day) We could seem to keep warm or dry. Even with all of the adverse conditons we had a really enjoyable trip.
Thanks again, Supershooter

It's been a couple of years since this thread was updated. Are people still happy with their FXRG jackets?  Is the fabric better than the leather? What about the midweight leather?

the 2011's had Schoeller's c_change membrane technology with a coolmax lining
the 2012's have Cocona technology wind/waterproof membrane

What's the difference in the membranes? Can't be that big a change in one year, can there?

Love my FXRG jackets. Have the nylon jacket & nylon pants from 4-5 years ago. They're waterproof, warm & have great venting so jacket can be worn up to about 80 degrees. Also have last years perforated leather jacket with windtex lining. Don't know if it's waterproof, probably not being as it is peerforrated. Don't think the liner would keep me dry. It's probably one of the nicest quality jackets HD has ever put out tho. Warm down to about 55 degrees, then you'll want an electric liner. Also just picked up a pair of the FXRG leather & nylon overpants. Very warm, comfortable & flexible for an overpant.

Highly recommend the FXRG stuff. Expensive but very nice.

I had my leather FXRG for four years now - rode across Europe and USA, in (very) hot and quite cool weather, heavy rain and even snow.
Would buy it again any time - well worth the money!  :2vrolijk_21:

And yes - it's even more expensive over here in Switzerland, about 2/3 more than US  :'(

I think I've had the FXRG midweight leather jacket and leather pants for close to 3 years now.  I don't really use the pants unless it's dead of winter riding, but the jacket and pants are both very good in the cold and I have had zero problems with any water getting through.  I still don't understand "midweight", since the jacket is pretty freakin heavy.  The leather is so soft that it doesn't feel very heavy when you are wearing it though.  If I can ever figure a way to wear out the jacket, I'll buy another...but I don't see that happening.  I'm also quite fond of my FXRG Gortex Rain Suit.  Good stuff!
