What would ya'll say is the warmest jacket /pant they make. to compare to the FXRG
I have an FXRG jacket. As MJZ mentioned, it is the best leather jacket I have bought overall, but a bit heavy. The zipper (original style) is crap, and I had it replaced twice (comes with 5 year warranty). I also like that the "branding" across the back is minimal. Not everything needs to have the moco label on it, which is why I was hoping for a score with Mark's Foxcreek.
As to the zipper, up until last year they came with a rather thin and flimsy plastic zipper. 1st time it broke (both the main and on one sleeve) it was repaired by HD at n/c. The second time they would only replace the jacket!
Mine is broken in just right so I had it replaced on my own, got a new heavy duty brass zipper installed for $45.
I got mine during a 20% sale, and had a $50 coupon to use (new bike purchase)
As for pants, I have yet to score a pair of FXRG for my self (2 so far for my wife), too much $.
A few years ago at a bike show Stone Lake Leather was selling a nice pair of leather bibs.
Except for the color (dark brown) I really like these, no open area like chaps. Very well made and comfortable. A year after buying them they came out with an insulated liner option. $100 extra to have them made, worth the investment, and the liner is removable.
Only problem with the bibs is the extra time involved at pit stops, but for my skinny butt the extra protection is worth it.
