Buckeye,
Wow, I love it.  As you can see I have the same bike......you have inspired me!  One question though.....did the load weight limit decrease with the detach setup. As you know the load limit in 09 increased due to the stronger bracing and frame.  I would suspect the detach setup impacts this.  If yes I would think the install instructions would say so.......did they?
Also HD makes the magnet covers for the detach hardward on the rear.....it really cleans up the look.
I love what you did.  Might keep me from having to buy a second bike, buddy!  I also had the 05 seeg.
Congrats

Buckeye,

I shrunk the pictures down in size for you.   Some folks may have issues downloading 6 x  1.3 meg pictures to view.

Did you keep the CB/Intercom functional?  How do you reconnect the CB antenna when the TP goes back on?

That is the one downfall of the detach kit is that you lose the CB / intercom function with the pak off. The CB wiring runs up the right side of the bike and has a plug inside the pak to connect. The intercom connection snaps off and on and easily is reinstalled when the pak is put back on. I have never used a CB so I'm going to leave the wiring rolled up under the seat and not worry about re-connecting it. One less connection to make.

Thanks. I'm going to try a different setting on the camera and see if it resizes the pictures.

I just went through the install and I did not see any mention of the load capacities. I guess that would be a dealer question. I actually have 3 bikes, soon to be 2. Just sold a custom 2004 Victory Vegas and for the need for staight-line speed I just completed a 2007 Night Rod Special project. Motor went to Vance and Hines for machining and big-bore. Now has 145 HP, fast-straight-1/4 mile. It's alot of fun, but that's a whole different topic. I can't say enough about the CUSE. Waiting to see what the true-dual systems look like from V & H / Rinehart to make a decision on exhaust. V & H just upgraded their website with a few other options, no true dual yet. Thanks.

Sounds like you are having LOTS of fun.  I am going to keep the 2 into 1 into 2 stock system for now and just put on slip ons and a super SERT.  I did ask the dealer this morning on the weight issue and he says it does not impact any load capacity.  He estimated the installed on the detach between 4 and 5 hours.  That would mean 45 hours for me to do it. :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: Did the dealer do your hog tunes install as well?  I am told there is a quick connect for the cb system as well when you put the tour pak back on.  I know someone (Chief) who did it on his 07.
thanks

Wow that looks great.   Reminds me of my SEEG.  If you go touring how long will it take to reinstall? the pak??
