If I am correct, it appears you are running 16ga pipes, if so how do you like 'em?

I seem to have a nuisance problem with some pretty bad vibrations above 60 mph definitely coming from the engine on vrscse2. I pulled the clutch at 85 and it was smooth as a clock. A little engine revving brought the vibrations back. Our mechanic says it is normal. My rod has a little over 10,000 miles on it and has had all services by the dealer. Any advice or comments would be welcome.

First...10,000 miles on the bike, very nice...As to your concerns, I too own that model, however with much less miles.  I have not experienced the above comments.  Good Luck in your quest.

[smiley=nervous.gif]Thanks for the reply. I've been paying a lot of attention to the vibes from the Rod and since my other ride is now an Ultra it seems even worse. Took the Ultra to Rolling Thunder XIX (my wife can't stand more than an hour or so of the Rod). We traded her '05 Sportster on the Ultra and although I'm proud of the fact that she put 5000 miles on the Sportster in a year I'm glad to have her back behind me. Anyway, getting off the Ultra and on the Rod is like getting out of a Caddy and into a Corvette. Best of both worlds, I guess. Coming up on 3000 miles on the Ultra and nearly 11,000 on the Rod. I have Rineharts on the Rod. Reckon that could have anything to do with the bad vibes? It sounds great although I sometimes feel a little guilty leaving my neighborhood at 6:00 AM. The vibes still seem to be getting a little worse although some of that feel may be in part to the difference between the Ultra and the Rod. It is not a pleasant sensation. Rear view mirrors aren't worth much above 55 and I don't ride much below 55. Kinda reminds me of a '99 Sportster I tried out once. I just don't think it feels right although the mech still says it's normal.

Rineharts...well that helps to explain it...Sound nice and loud, but create a lot of vibration on that bike from what I have been informed.

As to the rear view mirrors, I gave up on just about all HD mirrors years ago.  Do not get me wrong, their is some value, however not like a number of other bikes with little to no vibration.

Just One Guy's Opinion...Good Luck.

I don't think it's NORMAL.  I agree with you on '99 Sporty since I have one, but the mirrors on the Vrod are perfectly functional and very little vibration at 55 or 105!  Mirrors on Sporty are worthless at just about any speed, but I like that bike too.  (Although I'm sure the battery is dead by now since it has not been touched since V came home.)  Call Bill Morris at Earl Small's Service Dept.

Thanks for the input. I also have the Sreamin Eagles from my last Vrod, I think I will put them on for awhile just to check out how they sound with the SE2 and to check out the vibes. I do enjoy my SE2!!!
