I had the chance to ride to BushTec yesterday with Craig to pick up his new trailer.
We left Charlotte after lunch and rode the 300 miles there.
It was 32, 34 degrees and mostly the low 30's as we went through the mountains to BushTec.
We stayed last night and got to the shop this morning at 9:00.
It's a nice facility and we both got to see the trailer owners presentation.
The trip home today was warmer, maybe in the lower 40's but no snow like yesterday.
The entire 300 mile trip home Craig had that grin on his face.
The trailer pulled great and what's a ride with me without a few times at triple digits.
Even at speed the trailer tracked straight and true.
Craig is very happy with it and wait till Martha sees the room it has.

On a different note,
The ride yesterday and today was very cold but with heated grips, heated seat and lectric clothes all was great.
My SEUC is one month old today.
When I pulled into the bike garage the odometer was showing 2752 miles.
Not to bad for the first month and the more miles I get on it the better it runs.

The paint looks great! You will never reget it...

I've had mine for two years now and have about 7000 flawless miles on it. I rarely put anything in the saddlebags - there is plenty of room in the trailer for everything you could possibly want to take on a bike trip...

(I don't think I have ever seen a picture of Craig without that big smile on his face!)

Looks like one of of those Stratoliners or Roadliners that's had a metric butt load of custom body work.

First of all, special thanks to Chip for making the trip over to Bushtec with me, through the snow and all. Like Chip said, the paint is an incredible match. John Preston was so impressed with it himself, that he made his wife come outside in the cold to admire the fine job that his crew had done on the trailer. If you weren't paying attention to it, you never really noticed that the trailer was even back there in tow (at least until you hit the gas station - I actually was getting around 40 mpg with the trailer in tow at some pretty hefty cruising speeds, so I will certainly not complain). Like so many here have said, Bushtec is a high quality product that really shows in the details. Premium product for sure and I know that Martha will certainly enjoy travelling even more now with more of her stuff in tow along with a little additional shopping space to boot. I love the cooler feature, and Samuel was kind enough to point out the benefit of turning the cooler cover around. I asked him why they just don't reverse the design of the cover to avoid that situation and he informed me that it is in the works. I think they did an awesome job on the entire trailer and the wheels came out great as well. Thanks all for the kind words. Can't wait to get started doing some extensive bike touring in comfort now! Thanks again Chip for the company on the trip!

They told us it was Andrew Preston's and that they did a lot of the bodywork custom at Bushtec.

Nice trailer! Wish I went with wheels that 100% match.

There's definitely an art to packing and I'm sure she'll be talking to one of the pros to get some pointers.

You are correct, sir...nice bags, but Corbin has had problems with their painting from what I'm reading. Paint blisters.

But this whole bike has been custom painted...looking from the rear, I can't tell what kind of fairing he has on it, but probably Corbin as well. No visible body work on the rear end...that's just the way the bags fit..even the stock leather ones.

Craig...trailer looks great!! Hard and fast rule at my house: NO TRAILERS!!!

When we picked our bushtec up they recommended that we turn the cooler around so that if by any chance you
forget to zip the cooler closed the flap wont fly up and scratch the trailer.
It makes since and it works...

Already done, but thanks for the heads up anyway. Samuel told me the same thing when I took delivery of the trailer and I asked him why they don't just reverse the design and have the seam in the back with the lid opening toward the front. He said a new cover was in the works. I just hate the thought of even opening the cooler and letting the cover lay against the paint when a little road grime from the ride could easily scratch the paint.

Great looking trailer, the ghost flames are over the top! I know you'll enjoy the extra space when traveling, I know I love my American Legend.( not as fancy as the Bushtec but it works)
