Fullsac Performance CVO 2.25 Hi Flow Baffles now available!
« on: November 12, 2008, 04:17:17 PM »

Hi Guys

Our new 2.25 Hi flow replacement baffles for the CVO mufflers are in stock.
If louder is good, than bigger must be better. Ask your girlfriend, not your wife and she will confirm this.
The 2.25 shown on top above our 2.0 and 1.75".
Thanks!

I have two questions.

How much louder do the baffels get as you go from 1.75 to 2.0 to 2.25?

As you go up in size do you get more performance gain?

Thanks

Steve,

I know you did some dyno testing comparisons on your 1.75" vs 2.0" baffles.  Have you done any dyno comparisons on these new 2.25" baffles against the other two sizes?

Thanks!

Steve

The 1 3/4 are perfect for me.  Definitely not too loud.   Thanks.

I think what we are all fishing for is another video with the 2.25 so we can hear the difference.  Its the video of Jim's 1.75 and Your 2"  that sold me.

To give a comparison that we can all relate to. We all have a friend with Rhinehart true duals. You know, our friend we don't ride behind that loves to share his wonderful pipes with the world. Ok, even the my largest 2.25 cores won't be nearly as loud as the Rhinehart true duals with their standard 2.25 cores. A combination of the 2 into 1 into 2 and the material in the stock CVO mufflers do a lot to cancel additional sound. As for power? Its possible there is a couple more HP with the larger 2.25. If you have headwork and cams the likelyhood of seeing more power with the bigger cores greatly increases. I really urge people to choose core sizes based on the sound level they want to listen to all day. For those who enjoy a deeper more aggresive exhaust note, the 2.25 will deliver a little extra bark over the 2.0 and 1.75 cores for sure.
Thanks everybody for your continued interest in my parts.

Steve:
I got your latest shipment, and swapped out the 1 3/4 cores for the 2" on my EVO. Sound was just a little louder, but, is to my liking!
I'll be using the 1 3/4 set up on the '09, should be just about right, since my EVO is a larger motor. Pretty damn easy to swap cores around with little effort!
Thanks again for your help.......Mike

Thanks for the info Steve, I just sent you and email.

Has anyone put these in yet?  Any comparison betweeen the 2" and 2.25" would be appreciated.

I ordered the 2.25" already and should have them here and on the bike by this weekend or early next week.  My cat converter will be removed tomorrow, so I'll be ready to test them.  I will give a real honest opinion on the sound, because if I don't like them for any reason, I will order an entire new system from V&H and sell mine on here immediately.  If I keep them it will only be because they sound good and they perform good.  I spent too much on this bike for it not to sound as good as it looks.  I want something that is a very deep rumble and I hope these are it.  I do not want something as loud as my V&H Long Shots I had on my last bike.  They sounded real nice, but I always had to bring up the rear of the pack, since noone wanted to ride behind me...which is actually fine, since I prefer being at the back anyway.  I hate having to constantly check to make sure I haven't lost someone behind me and then it really bursts my bubble when I see someone lagging and not tightening up with the group when a traffic light is in plain view ahead.  That really slows down a ride when the same person keeps getting stuck at lights over and over.

Sorry to read of your struggles with the install. Seriously, if you don't like them I'll buy em back and make a bong or something else equally usefull out of em.

Geez, you got me worried now.  I am fully expecting to be impressed by these.  I can't wait to get them here and get this thing fired up.  However, if you can give me the instructions to make a bong out of them, I might be tempted to buy another set.  Well, probably not at this point in life, but I can remember (hazily) a time when I would have been first in line.  Ahh, the good old days...young, dumb and full of...well you know the rest.

Hey Steve

Any truth to the rumor you are working on true duals that will use stock heat shields?
Would you expect better performance from the true duals?

Thanks by the way love the 1.75, exactly what I wanted.

Just joking around.  I really think you will like the sound quality of your modified stock mufflers. If not I'll make you a big nasty 2 into 1!

Hi Greg
Glad the 1.75s cores hit the spot.
Just received an 09 headpipe today to make fixtures from. Plan on building and dynoing a true dual and a 2 into 1 into 2 with a true merged collector. The 2 into 1 will be the real power maker. I think even the true dual will have no problem making a power improvement over the stock headpipe arrangement.

Could you show me the way of the flow ? Or describe ?
With the insulation araound the cores , how does it work ?

@ Steve ,
you seem to be THE man with the knowledge .
Do you have a suggestion for a solution for me here in germany ?
The sound should be deep low rumble and the performance should be like a high-flow , BUT the noise has to stay beyound 80-83 decibels ?   Hmmmm
Aah , i`ll get a 09 SERG ( when it will come truth  ::) ) and i am not a specialist for welding . Difficult , i know .
What do you think ?
