1abastarsmda-
So how does the 2.25 go with your CVO?

Aloha,

Techie

Thus far I am quite pleased with mine.  We've had nothing but temps in the 20's and snow covered streets since I installed mine, which means I have made it out for exactly 2 days in the 20's.  I've only put between 150 and 200 miles on with these baffles in those 2 days.  Without being able to really get on it, this thing seems to haul azze already.  I still need to get another 400 to 500 miles on it before I get it dyno'd and completed dialed in, but I can tell it's a good match.  Being that the weather has been so cold, I've been wearing a full face helmet to ride, and that makes it so I can barely hear the exhaust at all, and I have to crank the stereo the entire way to hear music.  The only real opportunity I have had to really hear what the exhaust sounds like was standing in the parking lot at the dealer and listening to my bike as the technician took it for a test ride after initial tuning.  I absolutely loved the sound I heard.  Sitting on the bike or even riding it never gives the true picture of what your pipes sound like.  If you really want to hear what your bike sounds like, you have to hear it from the pedestrian's perspective, which means you need to have someone else ride away with your bike.  Of course, everybody has their own idea of what exhaust sound is music to their ears, but I'm quite fond of what I heard after installing the 2.25" Fullsacs.  I did not realize that I was giving up a bit in torque going with the larger diameter baffles, and after it's tuned in properly and I get some real ride time behind me, I'll decide if I might want to try the 1.75" or 2" instead, but I doubt it.

Installed my 2.25 baffles today and I must say STEVE, I LOVE THEM! Not loud but just right and the fit is perfect. I left the packing in. Should I remove them? Also installed the S/E Heavy Breather with chromed back plate, Power Commander V, and Wig-Wag flasher. Will dyno it soon. The bike runs like a dream. This site is hard on the pockets. Thanks to everyone for the information provided.

Leave the packing in, it smooths out the rumble. Glad you like it!

I also just got the 2.25's installed.  I heard it yesterday at the dealer and it sounded awesome.  I would also chime in and say that Steve is a gem of a gentleman and great to deal with.  Great priducts and really knows his stuff.  Thanks Steve for all your help and wisdom.  I am looking forward to your header pipe when it is ready.  Snowing in NJ and I cant get my ride home today.  I am sooooooooo annoyed right now.

Its possible yes, but not a muffler I am offering a kit for. A lot more work and a lot less demand.
Thanks for your interest.

techie, I had both sets apart The SE mufflers have entirely different end caps, the cvo's fasten to the muffler body the SEs bolt directly to the end of the baffle, the baffle extends to the lip of the muffler.  it could be accomplished  if you have a cut off saw and a welder so you can switch baffle ends, a lot of work to display a Screamin Eagle Logo but if you want to upgrade your own SE mufflers just measure twice before you cut.

Thats what this whole thread is about, no need to change the mufflers just the innards, back up a few posts and contact Steve he can fix you up.

I thought I missed something.  Dartman is correct.  Fullsac sounds like your answer.
