Well, got the call from sales lady yesterday morning...my baby was in. She was out for a few days with a sick kid and when she got back the bike was together and on the floor.
She new I wanted pics of the bike in crate. Oh well.

First impressions:
The bike really did look better in person! I know everyone had said that but I wasnt sure how I was going to react...wow!...I couldnt be happier with my choice. In fact the bike stood out...It was the only green anything in the whole store. My daughter and wife went with me and both loved the bike. They both had to get on it with me, just for fit and feel. This was hard as I still have broken foot and cast, but we managed. The bike fit me very well. Backrest will need a little adjusting. The toupak blended real well with the bike...that one had me worried. The stereo is a major plus! Both wife and daughter liked the lumbar supported backrest...said very comfortable. I will be going over this morning to order goodies to be added. Fatcats on the way from the group buy. Going to get 440 shocks,pc3/usb,intake,roadpegs,extra lights for rear,extra windshield 12",headset, and oil temp dipstick. Might have work finished and home by the following weekend. I am probably one of the few arent in a big hurray as I cant ride until foot heels. If I dont need surgery on foot in two weeks then I should be riding by the end of Sept. I cant wait to be able to ride though. Anyhow my overall impression is that I am very happy with the color and look of the bike.

Looks awesome congrats. You know if your foot doesnt heal you can always bring it down my way and ride a bit later in the season. I look forward to seeing it with all your wish list items installed.

Actually Twolane I am not sure I could spend so much time breaking it in for him I will be picking up my road king body for the hallowed motor this weekend. I guess then its no longer hallowed ? or is it still hallowed /shrug hehe

The Motor just needs the valves adjusted and the rockerboxes put on and its ready for installation. I picked up the Zippers throttle body today and dropped off the Rocker boxes and rockers.

Ok then its stock ... Wont be removed this go around in the mountains till the gremlins are all worked out. Besides there is nothing wrong with being last as long as I have a blast doing it.

Congrats on the ride, put another 1500 miles on mine this weekend in WV, had a great time and it runs flawlessly. Had the 6sp added before delivery, sure makes a big difference on the highway, 83+mph at 3KRPM.

Thanks, just got the 6sp and bluetooth, the shield is 9" smoked with a lip formed at the top from http://www.clearviewshields.com/index.htm has to be one of the best shields I've ever had. I added a few things that I took off my '04 Ultra, highway pegs, antennas and freedom wings, also got rid of that heel shifter, that went soon as I got the bike home. Adapter to move the tourpak came in just before the trip so I had to get that on to make the wife more comfortable, it worked.

FR8TRN, congrats on the new ride. When I first saw your pic, I thought yours was black and I wondered how did someone get a black one already. Then I noticed it was green. I agree with you on the heel shifter, don't use one either. Which brand of spacer did you use? Also have you put a PC or RT on yet, or is it stock?

Thanks Robert, the spacer is from Kuryakyn, don't remember the part number, had it on my '04 Ultra also. Put a set screw in it a long time ago, didn't fit perfect and it rattled alot, set screw took care of it. Haven't added anything along the PC line yet, still have my PCIII in the shop from my '04, I see PC has added the '06 models to the same setup I have so I guess it'll work. Might change out the air cleaner at some point but the exhaust is staying.

Fr8, what benefit comes from the "lip" you describe at the top of the screen?

I bought one of the $10 auto zone antennas also. When I put my whip in the lower relocation spot, it would start whipping around and hit me in the helmet. The first time it did it, I could not figure out what the noise was. If I slowed down it would stop. Finally saw it in my mirror and took it of for the rest of the trip. The rubber ones are OK, but they can stay "bent" looking over time from being subjected to wind of riding (even if you keep it under 120). I have a short, coiled, wire antenna that I also got from Auto Zone (I think). It's a semi-gloss powder-coated piece that matches the mounting hardware perfectly. Radio works great and it keeps its shape.

I have two of the rubber antennas sitting in my garage if anyone wants them. Don't need them as I installed an antenna inside the fairing.

twolanerider, re: the lip on the Clearview shields: I sent them an e-mail and recieved a reply today. They call it a euro lip, and it supposed to help direct air over your head on the shorter shields. $14 extra. Looks like nice stuff and most sizes are $65. I may try one of their shorter ones. I like the way they list the sizes. They tell you the overall height and the height above the edge of the fairing.

Suppose to kick the air up a little higher than if it were just a straight shield. Seems to work, I ran the same size shield on my '04 Ultra and the wind hit right at the top of my helmet, now it's well over the top before I can feel it with my hand, wife also gets alot less air hitting her helmet, but she sits a little lower than on the '04.

Would be hard to see in a pic, it's just a slight curve at the top to redirect the airflow a bit higher, hard to even notice unless you know it's there.
