THINKING about parting with my 01 SERG
« on: November 13, 2008, 09:09:53 PM »

Just test'n the waters here boys and girls.  The old lady is get'n her own bike, and I MIGHT be getting one hellofa deal on an 06 s/e v-rod.  She's an 01 with gear drive, Andrews 37G cams, 98" Revolution Performance cylinders/pistons, Stage II headwork, Burly Easy-Pull clutch actuator, Choppers Inc. Dash Bezels, all new bladders in the CD changer (works perfect), Power Commander, new grips, new clutch discs, Accu-Trak stabilizer.  That's about it (I think).  Has 32K miles on her.  Just trying to get an ideal of what she's worth.  Thanks for the insight!

I don't have a clue, but that is one beautiful machine.  It would hurt me real bad to let go of that thing if it were mine, so don't settle for anything less than what you want.  JMHO.

I think this would be your reaction after she rides away...

Just got mine delivered to Ventura, CA from Scranton, PA.  Rode her all day yesterday in 80 degree SO CAL.  What a great ride...

I have seen these bikes go from $14,500 to $16,500 lately. With the release of the New SE Roadglide it has revived interest in the originals, therefore pushing the resale back up slightly.

Thanks for all of the info guys.  I would be looking for at least $17000 if I was to sell it though.  With all of the work (gear drive set-up, cams, head work, etc.).

Once you know for sure let me know. I have an 06 Ultra I am selling, if the timing works out I would be interested. Always liked the SERG's.
