I don't carry any tools ..... have thought MANY times that I should  have some 'basic' things.  But I don't even have the tool bag mounted on the bike. I used to .... but the only thing I ever put in it was a bottle of water  :-O

I carry, credit card, cell phone, and having towing service which include lodging cost if more than 200 miles from home.................

I've used the towing service once.  Last year.  I went up into VA a year ago last Oct. ..... I still had the stock battery in my bike (year 2000 FXR4 ya know).  I told my wife before I left that I should replace that battery.  I was camping out ...... it got down into the high thirties the first night out .... the bike wouldn't start in the AM ...... called for service. They came and got me, they will not transport batteries ..... put the bike in a trailer and hauled me to the nearest HD store.  Put in a new battery and I was on my way.........

I carry a can of Glare polish.  I've been told that stuff will prevent anything bad from happening to the bike.
 ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

That stuff is so good I just carry an old rag that 103 threw away after he applied some Glare.  All by itself it keeps chains from breaking, belts from getting cut or punctured and tires from going flat.

Not true.  Wife backed into a fully Glared front fender on my SEEG a little over a year ago . . . though, come to think of it, the car bumper was also Glared and suffered no damage.  Hmmmmmm.

So you're saying the protective Glare rag was in her car and not stored in the bike?

So wrong....

Yeah, gonna start hanging a little bottle of it from the bike frame somewhere, sorta like one of those bells, and see how that works! ;) ::) :P

Personally have never used the stuff.  Given the descriptions that ascribe its magical effects, however, I'm sure people can (and have 8) ).
