What everyones opinion that has these windshields?

I just got off the phone with Cee Baily. These windshields are not made for the SERG 09. They will have one availible shortly for our bikes. Do not oder on the web site order by phone, they are taking my sheild back and I should have the first one to fit the 09SERG with our stock gasket will work. Doc

I had the 14" and I could have used the 15" as I had plenty of room to see over the windsheild. I am 6.1" If you have orderd a sheild and did not tell them its for a 09SERG it will not fit. so call them and change your order. #800-788-0618 they will be releaseing them with in a week. Doc

If they come out with a 15" for our bikes and if the let me change I will go with the 15". Forgot to ask which heights they are working on for the 09 SERG. Doc

It's my understanding that the fairings on all Road Glide 2004 and up (SE or Standard) are the same? Very interesting to hear that the windshields don't fit the SERG. Maybe it's the style / function of the windshield they are referring to, but the fit of the windshield has me a little perplexed.

The rep. Joe from Cee Baily explained to me that the outer fairing is differant on our 09 SERGs, his shields fit all the other RGs fine and with a nice fit, To fit it right on our bikes he is re doing the sheilds for the 09 SERG to work with the 09 SERG stock rubber seal for a perfect fit. He is also slotting the shields at the mounting holes for more adjustment to make it fit even better. Doc

The only thing different is the rubber spacers that the oe chopped windshield mounts on. All you have to do is remove the rubber spacers, and any RG windshield will bolt on.

Started with the stock SERG windscreen, in a box on the shelf, now have the KW 12", box is ready and spot on the shelf, hope the CB 15" will ride nice.

UFO HOG I tryed that with the Cee Baily shield and it still fit bad. My be a little differant than the other shields out there, Up till now I have only tryed the CV shields and of course the stock sheild on stock RGs. Doc

Doc, please take a close up picture of the stock gasket with the new 15" when you get it. I won't be back from Cancun until Feb. 1. Maybe you will have it by then. No phone or computer access by my choice, only cervesa's so cold they make your teeth hurt!

Just put about 100 miles on with the new cee bailey 09 serg windshield. The fit is much better than the regular road glide windshield. the contour angle is slightly different than the regular contour also. This shield is a 15" which puts the top about 7 " above the radio. I'm working with cee bailey for sizing and fit. they are installing a 14" on it today ( the 15" was too tall Being dark smoke it was just at my line of sight, above it on acceleration and below it on braking). The optical properties are far superior than any KW windshield. I believe the wind deflection to be better than the KW at least for the rider not sure for the passenger.I will ride with the shorter windshield today after work and let you know what the difference is. I will try to shoot a couple of pics tonight.

How tall are you and what is your inseam , i ordered a 15" dark grey tinted TRSSC from CEE Baileys , i am 6.1 feet tall 33 inseam , i guesssed that i could look over the top of the shield .

highjagger - if you must know my inseam is 32 and I'm 5'11" with that said the new shorter windshield i tried last night was too short. (we are measuring from the center front screw to the top of the shield.) height wise the size was good it was the wind deflection that was lacking.
Doc- yes i am getting a good deal from cee baileys, there fixing me up with shields for my other bikes and for the person that refered me to them. not sure if I'm going to do the seat also or not. My current thinking is to go with a solo seat and move the tourpak forward for my backrest. I have the detachable pack and it hides the nice clean look of the back fender etc..
Still working on getting some pics, lost my blackberry on a ride to palm springs lastweekend, should have a replacement this week. then i can shoot a couple of pics for you to see the shield and its fit.

Not sure which of the three threads to post my question in... lol

I like the look of the CB... and know they have a great rep, so IF I get another shield, I'll go with theirs... question is, at what speed does the stock shield cease to be effective? If I end up in Hawaii, long rides at highway speeds are going to be few & far between, so I'm wondering if it will even be an issue.

I will answer for him, it was the 13", in the pics it is a 14". I have a 15" coming , will let you know how it works out, Bailys has the 09 SERG shield to fit the stock gasket (seal) perfect. Doc Also a new hardware kit will be included with all the 09 SERG windshields and will also be sold as an option for other shields.

When the 15" will be your perfect one then it also will be for me i guess , same height like you ( 6.1 )
and the dark grey one to look over the top ( round or flat top we will see whether which is better in not-buffeting ) .

good morning everyone. It was the 13" windshield that i was looking over and got alot of buffeting, the 14" was in my line of sight and was only a problem because it was a dark tint and was difficult / awkward to be looking thru it. I'm having a 14" light grey made and it should be perfect for me. The fit came out real well, and the hardware improvements are great. Joe came up with a way to keep those ### :oops:fastners from pushing thru and dissapearing into the fairing.
