Seat Heater Switch 2008 UC SE
« on: January 16, 2009, 05:20:08 PM »

I would like to recover my seat, but I'm told the heater switch is riveted and can't be removed. I checked with parts and I can't order a new switch. Has anyone removed this switch or have a part number for a replacement? Any help would be appreciated.

Why can't you use the same switch?  Or were you wanting to relocate it?  I would think you could go ahead and remove the seat material, and simply drill the rivets out and re-rivet when you reupholster.

Might end up getting creative when it comes time to reinstall the switch.  Fasteners look like some sort of flanged, one-way posts that press into receptacles.  Might end up drilling all the way through and using CherryPop rivets.
Glad I have a Corbin.   :2vrolijk_21:
