Forward-er controls
« on: January 19, 2009, 02:12:03 PM »

ok, she fits almost like a glove,, but my legs are too damn long. any ideas - recommendations for putting another setup to gain another 1-1/2 - 2 inches? the pegs are fine for putting around when i need the pedals, but not to comfy for hWay. Kyur has foldout hiways, like the switchblade, but reverse,, anyone seen, used them?

I put the switchblades on.  Helps a great deal for the highway.  The issue I'm having is not enough clearance.  The bike handles so well in the twisties I scrap my footpegs reguarly.

I installed the Kuryakyn "forward extensions" on my Dyna and it moved my legs out 2 1/2 inches.  What a difference!

Here's a pic below.....

Buffy, thanks for the info.  Didn't know they made 'em.  How is the oil cooler working for your bike?

OK, you made me laugh.  Why? Because the picture above was before I connected the hoses up.

Below is a better picture and it really did make a difference.  An honest 15 to 20 degree difference based on the H-D digital Oil cap.

Awesome, more what I was looking for. I'd rather not have a hiway bar just to mount pegs, and your setup looks perfectly clean.

Thanks tons for the feedback and pics!!

Buffy, the Dyna looks awesome! the setup you used looks like the pn# 9049, true?
I'd prefer to keep the stock pegs for now, just moved.

And the cooler, looks almost like a OEM installation, real clean!

Close.......  Since my bike is a 2001, I had to use #9062.....

Thanks for the nice words about the cooler.
