Good Florida rides
« on: February 09, 2009, 09:42:58 AM »

I live in Lakeland Fl. and we have a group of riders called the Geezers, it's a bunch of retirees and snowbirds that meet every Tuesday at the Harley shop then ride somewhere to eat lunch. One week we go to the east coast the next time we go south until we go around the compass. This group can't give directions by streets they give directions by restaurants. Orange Eagle,

I met one of your riders not to long ago at one of my stops.

Since you seem to be a food oriented group you might try this restuarant or its sister store in New Symrna Beach right on 44 a few miles after the causeway.   The sister store is about 10 to 15 minutes from New Symrna Harley and Pub 44.
the food and the service are both fantastic at either location.

Try Backwoods Barbecue on the north side of the Ocala National Forest.  Good food and nice ride up through the forest on 19.
