Wow. Seems to me like the CVO bikes are sold overseas more than others? Thanks for all the greetings. Thanks for the link also, lots of great pics. I did a search but didn't find that link so I was glad to get it. I don't know how hard it is to find an '09. Dealer told me that they sell everyone ahead of time so they are very hard to get. Yet they do have one Silver/Blue coming in mid March that's still available. So, what's the groups opinion of how hard they are to find and do I pay full retail these days? Still trying to make up my mind, but I am leaning heavy towards buying a new CVO. After all, it's the patriotic thing to these days, right?

Thanks again,

Dave

Welcome Dave from Middle Tennessee, to answer some Q's, yes these CVO bikes are extremely hard to get One should be thankful he was able to procure one. you should expect to pay several thousand dollars over MSRP and give up a first or last born. The amount of time and energy required is staggering.
oh and hey, that story you told the wife about " honey, if we/I get a Screamin Eagle, it won't need a thing, it comes with everything", that's pure bullchit

Dave,

:welcome_005: from the beautiful state of Tennessee!

I was in the same boat as you... contemplating engine mods for my '07. Seems like I get the urge to do something every winter, LOL! Though I was interested in an '09 SERG, I couldn't find one available. So, it became my sour grapes... until I found one that was available. That was December 23rd, 2008. That day, the '09 SERG became the sweetest obsession I've had for a while. :)

LarryB is right. These bikes take some work to find sometimes -- especially if you are particular about color. He's also right abou the bullchit. I used that excuse with my wife and it got me permission to buy, but I'm already gonna spend about $3.5K on "stuff". Everybody does because, no matter how beautiful that new CVO bike is, you'll want to make it yours.

Dave, Welcome from So. Cal. The CVO bikes are a lot easier to get today than in the past. If given the choice between the '08 or the '09 it would be the '09 without question. The Silver/Blue is something you have to see in the sun to really see all the colors, I was blown away with 110mofo's bike when I first saw it, there is even a picture of me cleaning it somewhere on this site. Hold out for what you want, don't settle for a color combo that is not your favorite.
When all is said and done, get ready to spend more money. Sorry to your wife.  Dave

Welcome to the board from Nor Cal.

If you have a choice between the 08 and 09 I'd highly suggest the 09 due to the frame change.

Hey Dave welcome from Southern Maryland! Great name and I vote for ya to go with the 09 due to the changes this year, new frame, wider rear tire, great colors! So pick the color, wait till it becomes available and run, do not walk to the dealer and buy it! Enjoy the site and my condolences to the Mrs!
