OK.... I'm not quite at 1K yet... but 987 is close enough.

All in all, this is absolutely THE BEST HD I have ever owned...

Aside from the few quirks mentioned previously....

  • Throttle Sticking (FIXED)
  • One grip upside down (or are they all like this?)
  • Seat gap rearing its ugly head after 500 miles...
  • Ride a bit stiffer than I like, but bearable
  • Useless yet cool looking windscreen

No runs, no hits no errors...

I'm VERY happy with my purchase...  :-*

I'm at almost 2,000 miles. Zero complaints from me, well maybe one. That wind deflector is crap. This really is a great bike

You gonna leave the stock windscreen, or replace it?

Way to rack up a quick 1000 miles!

I have no miles on mine yet but am sure it will have to be changed judging by all the comments on this site

Too bad because the stock one is so freaking cool looking :coolblue:

I have read everyone's comments... and agree that seems like an immediate must-do mod... I just asked given the fact that you're on an island and there is limited opportunity to get out on the open road, so would it be a great improvement to swap it out, given everyone also agrees it is pretty cool looking.

I used it for two weeks and 1200 miles. The turbulence hit my chest so the air around the helmet was OK. I now have a CV sport medium (great support from the vendor section of this site). I actually liked the stock for low mile days in moderate temperature, but not for touring or poor weather

...and weather is the key reason I say this piece is useless.

Sure, I live in Hawaii and have the luxury of riding 365 days/year... but on some days it's not a bearable as you may think.

Nothing more joyous than scrubbing the nooks and crannies of road grime from rainy weather off a new CVO!

Just curious. Does your throttle stick @ any particular time? I have a 2009 CVO Road Glide with 780 miles and if I inadvertently touch the throttle during warm up (before the tachometer hits 1000 rpm) it causes the engine  rpms to increase.

Hope you are enjoying yours as much as I am with mine.

    Best regards.

Just turned 2K, and just got back from 1K trip to Daytona, seat gap was fixed with Mustang solo seat, replace windshield with Klocks Werks 12", but really not adequte for road trip will start looking for 13" or 14", love the 6 gal. tank, I nick name each bike I own, and this on is going to be called "arrow", it without dout is the best riding bike I have ever owned, I can't wait until our west coast trip in May.

    Steve,

Techs found an errant piece of chrome stuck between the throttle sleeve and the bar... causing the hangup.

jettjocky - glad to hear you're enjoying your SERG.  I'm interested in a Mustang solo seat and wondered if you could include a picture so I could see how it looks on your bike.

    Thanks,
