Dead on the road
« on: March 30, 2009, 01:23:19 PM »

Some buddies and I were riding Sunday and made a stop. When I restarted the bike it ran rough and shut off, so I turned all the power off. When I tried to power up the fuel pump or EFI system would not engaged and the motor would just turn over. I had to trailer her home and going the the dealer tomorrow. What could be the problem? Checked all fuses and yes it has fuel. Thanks in advance.  :sauer005: :bigcry: 09 SERG

I had a similar instance last year when my fuel pump shell went.  I would have expected this issue to be addressed in the '09, but my fuel pump did go on when prompted though.

Good Luck, let us know what the problem is. :confused5:

I had 4 buddies last year that went through the same thing.  3 on Road Glides and 1 on Road King.  I has some thing to do with the ring that holds the fuel pump or something like that.  There was a recall.  Thought they had fixed them all.  Let's Roll

it was the fuel filter shell that was cracking and would lose pressure. i had the recall on my 08 tr and mine was showing signs of this. that was revised and hopefully not an issue now. :nixweiss:

Well all, back from the dealer and the bike did have a blown PCM fuse. So they replaced it and...it happen again at the dealership :carrot: So they replaced the Power Commander V and so far no problems. The dealership got on the phone and Dynojet made it right. So far so good. Not sure why it went bad, as the unit in only 3 months old. Back on the road again.  :bananarock: :huepfenjump3:  :fireman:
