Oil Usage

My '08 FLHTCUSE3 has been using about a quarter of a quart of oil every 1000 miles or so.  It is completly stock with 9400 miles.  I have had the new head gaskets last year in Aug and new valve guide seals last month.  Still using oil.  No visible leaks and there is no blueish smoke coming from the pipes.
Has anyone else experienced this?
