To all. The HID Headlight IS a great upgrade for either the '04-05 SEEG or the '06 SE Ultra!

Pana-guy, sounds like you got a heckuva good deal!  Unfortunately, my dealer never offers discounts on "things that go on a motorcycle," so I paid full boat for the light and it was not until jeffj's relentless pursuit of my $100 labor discount that I got that.  Nevertheless, I too think this is a good upgrade.  I haven't cut the (pressure) spring like the other member mentioned yet, but will before spring (season) rolls around.  It's fine the way it is, but a little more height would take the light from good to great.

Glad to hear the reviews were helpful and thanks for your comments as well!

Hi Guys,my 2 cents.

Having read all on here, and running Xenon on my cars, I decided to look at changing to HID lights. Before the purchase of these expensive items,I happened to see another motorcyle with xenon lights....or so I thought.

To cut a long story down to size the change that I made was to

No-rain (et al), I got the Luminics Bulbs Hyper White 881 bulbs for the spots: http://www.luminicsbulbs.com/881_bulbs.php

I decided to stay with the 881s (27w) versus upgrading (?) to the 816s (50w) like some have reported success with.

As a rough gauge, I'd say they're about 60% less yellow than the stock bulbs.
