The guy had roughly 4000 miles on his 09 which would say the tires were in good to very good shape also, he is the kind of guy who is more than anal about the maintenance and upkeep so I am pretty sure all the pressures were good.  According to those who witnessed the crash from the rear, say there was no wind to speak of.  The common statement from all who were following seems to be that he was hitting close to 110 when the bike just started to develop a noticeable wobble which continued to get worse until it disappeared into a big cloud of dust with parts going everywhere....

One of our 09 SERG drivers has been experiencing "speed wobbles" and as it turned out, his steering head bearing was loose. see update thread:

Also, some other 09 SEUC and SERG drivers have reported "cupping" of out "new & improved" tires.  I've got 4,500 miles on mine and when rolling on a smooth surface like my garage and even the driveway, it feels like I'm rolling on knobbies.  It may be just my imagination but I don't remember it feeling that way 1K ago.  I'll definitely be keeping an eye on them.  40psi rear/36 front.

and another

Wow. Better order some touchup paint. Hopefully, he has learned a valuable lesson. Some riders are not that fortunate to be able to talk about an accident like that after the fact.
