Guys and Pammy, I'm loving this.

Dave, have you figured it out now?

Hope so!

So let me warn you on another matter.

Your hog pod's is coming on Monday.

Call me on Saturday and we can cover some of the "O chit, what do I do" questions I know you will have.

I made a couple stupid mistakes with mine that you can avoid but to describe what they were would take to long to type so I will tell you.

I'm here for you, and besides our conversation will keep you from typing another dissertation of why something isn't right.

And if anyone else has a question about their Hog pod send me a pm with your phone number and I will call. Especially if your painting it!

O, I guess this is where I can complain about your post.
But guess what, the manual tells you how to install it,,,,,,,,not how to take it apart, in order to paint it you have to take it completely apart,,,that's the part I screwed up.

And no, FYI, I only read the manual after I screwed it up.
That's when I realized there were no instructions for taking it apart.

Well if Dave calls he won't have any complaints.

What I did was stupid enough, I hate for both of us to look stupid also.

I'm not planning on painting it yet, so at least I don't have to take it apart.  It looks so easy on the video on Hog Tunes website.  I have no idea how to take the existing pad off, but I figured it was just a few bolts underneath it.  It looks like drill a few holes through the template, make the holes bigger, bolt it on, run the wires through, plug and play, put her back together.  I hate when something looks easy and there are catches to it (but I'm not complaining...YET).  I'll try to call you sometime tomorrow so I know what kind of mess I've gotten myself into.  You're starting to get to know me...knowing I'll be posting that "o chit, now what do I do".  I dig in with the naive notion that all will go well, and when it doesn't, I go into panic mode.  Some schooling up front will do me a world of good.

Cool Dave!

There are some serious things that can go wrong if you paint it, cause they did in my case.
Call me and I will cover a few things.

Chip,

You got a link on when you installed your pod, or a picture or two? How do you like it?

I just had a nice conversation with Chip.  I'm glad I talked to him before attempting the Hog Pod install.  I would have been on the forum in minutes after removing the dash pad in a panic, if he wouldn't have filled me in on what I'll find.  Now I think I know how to deal with it.  Thanks Chip.  Also, from what he told me, I think I'll be happy that I decided to get the Hog Pod and I'll enjoy the added dimension that the tweeters will give from being straight in front of your face.
