Cool, glad it's working for you, I was looking at Race Tech. Do you know the oil weight you used? I'm now looking at the RICOR, valve now.

Hi,
I finally upgraded my 39mm front end. I used the progressive springs and thr Race Tech Gold Valve cartridge emulator. The combo makes for a nice ride. It is alot better in tight twisting turns and on the open road. Now that I have some miles on the new set up I should have used the RaceTech springs. The Gold valves made the biggest difference in the ride using the middle weight valve spring. Used PJ1 mid weight fork oil.
Thanks,
LTank

Why do you say that ?
How would you know they would have been better than that Progressive springs ?
In what way would they have been better ?

Thanks,

I thought that the Race tech Springs would be too stiff being a single rate spring of 90 or 95. The progressive was 64/89 . i was looking for a plush ride.

Sorry to seem so dense about this .....

I'm still not sure what you're saying.

So, you like the results you got .... but feel that you would have had a better response from the bike if you would have used the Race Tech springs instead of the Progressive springs.

What would have been better ?

The ride, more plush, or more harsh ?

The overall handling of the bike, better performance ?  Better handling ?

Reason I'm asking is because I've been considering the Race Tec gold valve setup for my bike for quite awhile.  Just haven't been able to decide if it will make much difference in the handling / ride .... and what those difference will be .........

Thanks !

Hi,
I got my fork springs from the shop who changed mine out for the progressive spings. To my suprise theye too are were progressive wound but hey were longer than the ones from Progressive. The Progressive springe are suppossed to b 64/89 but I don't know what the stock Harley progreesive sping ratings are.Guess I wasted my money.
Thanks,
