Hey guys after the ration of chit I caught for being the only one parked in the row with the wrong hinges, I took the leap of faith today. Only took me about an hour to do after  I now can ride with my head held high!

Come on Ditch, , , site member gave you a ration of chit?

They would never do that to me.

Well except for d00d, sadunbar, mickeytee, 110 mofo, , , well actually the list is to long!

So yes, like you, I caved in and did it!

I just took the easy way out last week...   The dealer had to replace my TP lid due to defective paint, so I had them replace it with the H-D chrome hinges instead.  Still cost me $45 for the hinges, but I didn't have to install them myself.

Anytime a drill is taken out of my hands, it is a good thing.

Well, I think that your hinges are beautiful, albeit more expensive than H-D.  However, even if you are right about the superior look, the H-D product is FAR better than stock.

Dude, I know that - I was just f-in' with you.   Two true comments though...  They are ALL better than the horrific stock versions, and your hinges ARE beautiful (wink, wink).

Only took me about an hour to do after I read the instructions about attaching to TP lid FIRST!!!    Am I now worthy of parking my Pumpkin next to youze guys bikes?  Really nice touch! I now can ride with my head held high! 

If I gave you chit, I must have meant it!   They look great on there, but I think you already know that.  When I was at Myrtle Beach, I had a vendor installing a center stand for me.  While my bike was parked at the vendor, I'll bet at least 20 people asked me about those hinges.  I was pretty shocked that so many people noticed them, but on the center stand, the left side of the bike becomes a lot more visible to passersby.  My bike was actually drawing a real crowd at the vendor's stand, with all kinds of questions being fired at me.  The vendor wanted me to leave my bike parked there while I walked around, since he said he never had so many people at his stand before.  As he was asking me, I started seeing people's hands on my bike and I told him I was getting it out of there right away.  Anyway, back to the hinges...nice touch!
