I can't answer that with any first hand knowledge. I would think that with the correct adapter you culd get away with a decent selection of speakers. When I tried using the Batwing adapters there was no way a regular depth speaker was going to work.

Firecap501 on HDF is suppose to have rings for the Roadie also.

man, i'm in.  i switched to the Hog Tunes.  They sound fine, but not loud enough for me.  I run the short shield.  I want the 6.5s!  Where do i find out about the amp, and which Focal speakers?  Do they make a marine grade?  Enlighten me 911.

Bazooka, has a plug and play kit for HD's and the Focal are great as I have them in all my vehicles. I will be using the Polyglass 165 CVX. They are not marine rated but we will see the first shower I get caught in. :bananarock:

Focal is suppose to make a nice speaker though Ive never heard them. Im still trying to decide on an amp and speakers. Im gonna take it appart and see how big of an amp I can use. Probably gonna use a 4-ch alpine (future upgrade to rear speakers w/ tour pack) Speakers Im just not sure yet. I want to hear some of the new stuff, Its been a while since I listened to speakers.

C'mon, you have to try harder than that.  The guy is a salesman.  He wasn't trying to be subtle.  Or at least if he was he sucked at it.

Click his username and his email address is listed.  Domain to the address is rideloud.com .  Check out www.rideloud.com .  The page is all in your face about a 6x8 speaker adaptor for a Road Glide.  There's also a hot chick shown on the page.  Though I don't have a clue what her pic has to do with speakers.

When I saw it all I got so excited I nearly had a potty accident.  All the hype.  Ooooh.  Tingly.  Sort of.....

Lots of "coming soon" and silly warnings about not being responsible for blown ear drums.  I love advertisers that treat us like we're 13 in a store specializing in Playboys.  Here's a screen capture of the page:

Sure.  What would you like?  Requests are always an option.

Look at it this way.  At least someone finally told them what you were selling.  Fake drama is a cheap tool.

See, at least one of us does our research :huepfenlol2: .  As for my ass and double; weird predilections you've got there.  As for charging... nope.  I've already got great sound in the bike from Hawg Wired.  Don't need some cheap plastic adaptor for that.

Hey Manimal, you don't need a name change and you don't need a silly sophomoric dramatic advertising tactic.  Not with grown ups.  I really do hope you have good luck with your product.  But don't just yank folks chain.  If you do that they won't yank yours.

Say what you've got, why it's good and open the crash drawer.  With this audience that is far away your best tactic.

I've got a mea culpa to share here.  Ride Loud's original pitch hit me (and a couple others that had talked about it) badly.  Seemed loud and obnoxious and (the worst part) just another hit and run vendor pitch to a seemingly target rich environment.  We see such things too often playing with the machines we do.  Combination of that getting old and me being cranky led to a response that, while potentially fair to some shyster vendor, was not fair to one of our own working on his own dime fighting the product development headache.

Ride Loud is our own Manimal.  Been around here a long time.  That means something.  It did for PJ and his glove box doors and it has for others.  Ride Loud's marketing methods are his own to choose.  I might comment or not based on the impression they make.  But he's one of our own pulling his hair out fighting to finish development and get a new product to market.  That fact alone means I don't need to bust his balls.  If I'd known who he was I wouldn't have.

Twolane, as usual, was right, RideLoud was wrong. We do not need, good rest his soul, a Billy Mays approach to selling us stuff on this site. Get it done, tell us its a good product, let someone try it and we will buy it. I will NEVER buy anything from them, only because of that post of his about waiting two weeks.
Don't abuse Twolane, it is not right.

Twolane is ok (as ok as anyone can be after too much BBQ).  Ride Loud is selling parts, and doing it straight up.  It's all good.

They do not value customer service and have a take it or leave it mentality.  They have no knowledge or support of installation on a bike.  They are selling marine/boat amplifiers and speakers and the customer needs to engineer the installation - this is not what I am looking for - good luck.

Those appear to be 6" x 8" speakers that fit the Ride-Loud adapters. JL Audio makes a nice set of 6"x 8" speakers, but they are not marine grade and might suffer from weather exposure.

I'm using 6x8 infinity kappas, 300w max. not marine grade. 88 bucs. just so you know, HD stock speakers aren't marine grade. use them with the RideLoud adapters
